CITY IN A GARDEN
1955 Chicago Noir
It has a rich history of gangland violence, shady dealings, and is considered the Serial Killer Capitol of the World. The likes of H. H. Holmes (America’s first serial killer), John W. Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Richard Speck, and William Heirens, have all operated in or around the Windy City.
Because of cars and football helmets. Seriously. But also because its a number of years past WW2. Cold War era nuclear and communist fears always make things more interesting.
Why Noir? Why not Pulp?
Actually, there will be plenty of pulp elements, thanks for asking.
